A Must-Have Part For Commuting and Cold Weather Riding
Hello from the United States!After a few months with this leg shield I felt that I had to review it. For starters the aerodynamic difference is incredible. When paired with a good windshield the CT125 cornered noticably better and was far less wobbly. I'm averaging about 10mph faster through a lot of corners with the extra stability. The combo of a large windshield with the legs also did wonders to my top speed, getting me over 70MPH and climbing. I chickened out because my tires are rated for 65. It had more to give. I'm genuinely baffled by the the improvement in aerodynamics.But wait theres more! This thing is weather protection too and its great at that too! Wind? gone. I was wearing summer riding clothes through fall and fall riding clothes until december. I don't have or need heated gear its awesome. With a titanium exhaust that radiates a lot the leg shield blocks the warm air from being blown out of the step-through. Which serves as an unintentional heater, which is nice in the cold. It will also cook your bits on a warm day, hang a leg out the side to bring cool air in. Thank me later.The leg shield works wonders in rain. I stay ALMOST completely dry, with the exeption of the top of my legs being a bit damp. Overspray from the top of the shield comes over, its no big deal compared to not having it at all. If it was like 2cm taller it would be perfect. Still as long as your moving your basically in a dry bubble its great. Finally, for the masochists reading, you bet this thing is a treat in snow! You get all of the above plus tall drifts cant force your feet off the pegs. Not only can it push snow but it can take a fall. I binned it on a hillclimb and it just shook it off. Didn't crack, kink, or permanently bend! Even on trail it shrugged off small branches no problem and kept my legs protected and relatively dry. I am beyond impressed with this leg shield. I can say without a doubt that this is an essential part for anyone that wants to ride, whatever the weather!
